Little did we know that when Archie's daughter Marie offered to baby-sit for us that her mum and dad would become extra members of our family too.
We had amazing caravanning holidays together. In the evenings playing endless games of whist, whilst  listening to Archie's stories of life in the RAF, as well as lots of tales, many repeated but still making us laugh until we had tears in our eyes. We enjoyed many trips to fascinating places always stopping for a bite to eat and perhaps a glass or two! I for one will miss him especially when having a small glass of wine and my family will miss his reminiscing and his presence.
